I Am Somebody

At Queensbridge, everybody is somebody. We have been inspired by Jesse Jackson reciting the poem I Am - Somebody  by Reverend William Holmes Borders with children on Sesame Street in 1972.  Queensbridge produced it's own version to celebrate the diversity of the school community.

In class bubbles and at home, children have been writing their own poems. Some of us have been creating backing tracks with SONGMAKER CHROME in groups, and then reciting the poems with a solo line and a unison, choral response. Here are some of our first recordings.
