I'm excited to announce the coming of a big performance project taking place in the school in the Spring 2026.
The show is called Yanomamo, the music is absolutely amazing. It is set in the Amazon rainforest and is about living in harmony with nature, the wisdom of the Yanomamo tribe who live in the forest and also about the terrible deforestation and destruction of the Amazon that is taking place.
We will have choirs singing, instruments playing, dancing, costumes, solos from a jaguar, a sloth, a class of monkeys and another class of army ants and so much more!
The children have started learning the songs already. I have created a separate page on this blog as a resource for them to access the music at home to practice singing and learning the words. There's a LOT to learn!
